秋瑾的詩(shī)文和英譯

一九七五年是秋瑾誕生一百周年。有一篇題為“秋瑾和她創(chuàng)辦的《中國(guó)女報(bào)》——今年是秋瑾誕生一百周年”的紀(jì)念文章說(shuō)：

曾任浙江寧波英國(guó)領(lǐng)事的翟理士（Giles）翻譯了秋瑾兩首詩(shī)，原詩(shī)為：

曙色推窗入，嵐光撲面來(lái)。
行行無(wú)限意，搔首一低徊。

我欲乘風(fēng)去，天涯咫尺間。
何當(dāng)?shù)堑坳I，一叩九重關(guān)。

英譯如下：

When through my casement dawn appears,
And early breezes stroke my check;
'Mid endless crowding hopes and fears
I bow my head, I cannot speak.

I long to mount the wind and fly——
The far horizon seems too near;
But why seek God in distant sky?
Knock, and His doors are opened here!

不過(guò)，也有人認(rèn)為這兩首題為《長(zhǎng)崎曉發(fā)口占》的詩(shī)，不是秋瑾寫的，而是她的友人燕斌寫的。
